Eligibility Requirements
Required Education: A First-Class Engineering Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in CSE/IT/ECE/EEE/E&I/Instrumentation/Electronics from a recognized University or Institute.
For Assistant Project Engineer: Diploma qualification is needed.
Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience as mentioned for each role.
Salary
Project Engineer (Contract Basis - PE-C):
- ₹40,000 per month in the 1st year
- ₹45,000 per month in the 2nd year
- ₹50,000 per month in the 3rd year
- ₹55,000 per month in the 4th year
Technical Officer (Contract Basis - TOC):
- ₹25,000 per month in the 1st year
- ₹28,000 per month in the 2nd year
- ₹31,000 per month in the 3rd and 4th years
Assistant Project Engineer (Contract Basis - APE-C):
₹25,506 per month

Method of Selection
- Objective Written Exam (80% weightage)
- Practical/Skill Assessment (20% weightage, qualifying only)
- Final selection will be based on marks obtained in the written exam
General Guidelines / Directions
- The initial appointment will be for one year and may be extended up to four years depending on project needs and individual performance.
- Chosen candidates can be assigned duties at any location across India.
- ECIL holds the authority to reduce or cancel the number of positions and to modify the selection procedure.
- Any attempt to influence the selection process will lead to disqualification.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can download the application form from the ECIL website (www.ecil.co.in) and must report to the interview venue with the completed form and resume, along with the following original documents and one set of self-attested copies:
a. Proof of date of birth – either 10th class certificate or school leaving certificate.
b. Qualification documents – certificates and mark sheets.
c. For candidates with grade-based evaluation, a certificate converting CGPA to percentage from the institution/university is compulsory.
d. Experience certificates from previous jobs clearly mentioning the job title and duration (from and to dates). If currently employed, submit the appointment letter along with the first and latest salary slips. Experience claimed without proper proof will not be considered in post-qualification experience.
e. Category certificate (EWS/OBC/SC/ST) for those applying under reserved categories. For OBC candidates, the certificate must be recent (not older than one year from the selection date) and must clearly state the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ status. Only such candidates are eligible under the OBC quota.
f. Government-issued ID proof (like Aadhar or Passport).
g. Valid PwBD certificate (for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities), discharge certificate (for ex-servicemen), or relevant documents if seeking age relaxation (e.g. for candidates from J&K), if applicable.
