Eligibility Requirements

• Indian National 

• Should hold Domicile/PRC of the State/UT mentioned in the application (excluding Assam & certain categories) 

• Must have passed Matriculation or 10th class from a recognized Board/University by 01-01-2026 

• NCC Certificate holders may receive additional marks (if applicable)

Age Criteria (as of 01-01-2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years 

• Maximum Age: 23 Years (Candidates should be born between 02-01-2003 and 01-01-2008)

• Age Relaxation: 

1. SC/ST: 5 years 
2. OBC: 3 years 
3. Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (excluding military service) 
4. UR/EWS category children/dependents of 1984 riot victims: 5 years 
5. OBC category children/dependents of 1984 riot victims: 8 years 
6. SC/ST category children/dependents of 1984 riot victims: 10 years

Application Procedure

• Go to the official site https://ssc.gov.in 

• Register once through One-Time Registration (OTR) 

• Fill in the application form properly 

• Upload your photo, signature, and necessary documents 

• Pay the fee if needed 

• Submit the application and keep a printout for records

Guidelines

• Read the exam notice thoroughly in both Hindi and English; in case of any confusion, the English version will be considered final. 

• Apply online well before the last date to avoid technical issues due to high traffic. 

• If you haven’t registered on the new SSC website (ssc.gov.in), you must complete a fresh One-Time Registration (OTR); registrations from the old site (ssc.nic.in) won’t be accepted. 

• Once you complete the new OTR, you can fill out the application form; this new OTR will also be valid for upcoming exams on the same portal. 

• Since applications are provisional, all documents will be checked during the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) by CAPFs. If any claim made in the application doesn't match the documents, the application will be rejected. 

• Candidates applying under reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ESM or others) must be eligible and hold valid certificates in the required format. 

• SC/ST/OBC candidates who move to another state must decide whether to claim reservation benefits from their original state or apply as unreserved in the new state. This decision can’t be changed later.

• If claiming reservation from the state of origin, candidates must mention both their current and original domiciles and submit a valid caste certificate from their origin state.
