Eligibility Requirements for Credit Officer 2025-26
Applicants interested in the Credit Officer positions must make sure they meet the necessary Eligibility Criteria 2025-26 set by Bank of India. Credit Officer Recruitment 2025-26 Selection Procedure
The selection of Credit Officers is done through an online test and/or shortlisting followed by a personal interview. The screening evaluates candidates’ reasoning ability, numerical skills, English language, and knowledge in their specific field. Only candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and have a high rank are invited for the interview.
The selection steps are explained below:
1. Application Review and Shortlisting:
Submitted applications are reviewed based on uploaded documents supporting the required eligibility (education, experience, category, etc.). Only those who clearly meet the criteria proceed to the online test and/or interview.
2. Online Test Details:
- Mode: Computer-based objective test.
- Pattern:
- English Language – 25 questions (25 marks)
- Reasoning – 25 questions (25 marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude – 25 questions (25 marks)
- Professional Knowledge – 75 questions (75 marks)
- Total – 150 questions, 150 marks in 120 minutes.
- Language: Except English, all sections are in English & Hindi. Marks of English section are not counted in merit (only qualifying).
- Qualifying Score: Minimum 35% per section for General/EWS; 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer; no deduction for questions left unanswered.
3. Interview Stage:
Candidates who meet the cut-off in the online exam and rank high in merit (based on category) are invited for an interview in about a 1:3 ratio to the number of openings. The interview is for 100 marks with qualifying marks of 50% for General/EWS and 45% for reserved categories.
Final Selection:
If both exam and interview are held, final merit is based on 70% exam marks (excluding English) and 30% interview score, provided candidates clear both stages. If the test isn’t held, selection is based only on interview marks in order of merit.
Credit Officer Registration Charges 2025-26
Applicants for the Credit Officer Recruitment 2025-26 must pay the applicable application fee or intimation charges based on their category, using online payment methods only, from 20.12.2025 to 05.01.2026.
Category-wise Fee Structure:
- General & Others: Rs. 850 (includes application fee and intimation charges)
- SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 175 (only intimation charges)
The fee once paid is non-refundable and should be made through Master/Visa/RuPay credit or debit cards, net banking, mobile wallets, cash cards, QR code, or UPI. Applicants must confirm that the payment is successful and keep both the e-receipt and the printout of the application form for future use.

Applicants chosen as Credit Officers (Group-A Officers) in Bank of India will be posted in Middle Management Grade Scale-II/III or Senior Management Grade Scale-IV with appealing salary structures as per the bank’s guidelines.
