Method of Selection | |
The merit list will be prepared based on the average percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50% total marks required) and the ITI examination, giving equal importance to both qualifications. If two or more candidates score the same marks, preference will be given to the older applicant. If their dates of birth are also the same, priority will be given to the candidate who passed the Matriculation exam earlier. There will be no written examination or interview. | |
Steps to Apply | |
Applicants must submit their application online by visiting www.rrc-wr.com. Complete guidelines for filling out the online form will be provided on the website. (a) Candidates must carefully enter their personal information, selected trade, Aadhaar number, marks/CGPA, and preferred Division/Workshop, as the computerized merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the details submitted in the online form. If any mismatch is found during document verification, the candidature will be cancelled immediately. (b) Although separate vacancies are notified for Stenographer (English) and PASAA for Mumbai Central Division and Headquarters Office, candidates applying for Mumbai Division and HQ Office need to submit only one common application. No separate form is required. Applicants must have an Aadhaar Card. During registration, they need to provide their 12-digit Aadhaar number. Those who have applied for Aadhaar but have not yet received the card can enter the 28-digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID mentioned on the enrolment slip. This rule applies to candidates from all States and Union Territories. At the time of Document Verification, the original Aadhaar Card must be produced. Candidates must ensure that their name, father’s name, and date of birth exactly match the details mentioned in their Matriculation or equivalent certificate. Any difference found during verification may lead to cancellation of candidature and possible debarment. Applicants should provide an active mobile number and a valid email ID in the online form and keep them active throughout the entire selection process. All important updates will be available on the official website, and email/SMS notifications will be sent only to selected candidates. Such communication will be treated as officially received by the applicant. Candidates can select only one Division/Workshop, and once chosen, the option cannot be changed. Applicants should carefully check the trade-wise vacancy details (Annexure A) to confirm that vacancies are available for their trade, qualification, category, and community in the selected Division/Workshop. Candidates who hold ITI certificates in more than one trade can submit separate applications for each eligible trade. If any applicant submits multiple applications for the same trade using different details such as name, father’s name, community, PwD status, qualifications, or different email IDs/mobile numbers, all such applications will be rejected. Applicants must download and keep a printed copy of the online application form, which should be produced whenever required by the Railway Administration. Selected candidates must appear for Document/Certificate Verification with their original documents and a Medical Fitness Certificate (Annexure-G) at the allotted Division/Workshop/Unit. Candidates applying under the EWS category must upload a valid EWS Certificate as mentioned in Para 2.7.
