Required Qualification
- Soldier (General Duty): Must
have passed Class 10th/Matric with at least 45% overall and 33% in each
subject. For boards using grading system, a minimum of D Grade (33-40) in
each subject or a grade equivalent to 33%, and an overall C2 grade or equal
to 45% overall is required.
- Soldier (Clerk): Must
have passed 10+2/Intermediate in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with at
least 60% overall and minimum 50% in each subject. Getting 50% marks in
English and Math/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12th is compulsory.
- Soldier Tradesmen (All trades
except House Keeper & Mess Keeper): Must have passed Class
10th, no overall percentage required but should have at least 33% marks
in each subject.
- Soldier Tradesmen (House Keeper
& Mess Keeper): Must have passed Class 8th, no
overall percentage needed but should have at least 33% marks
in each subject.

Physical Requirements
For Male Applicants
- Relaxation: 157
cm for candidates living in the Eastern Himalayan areas - Sikkim, Manipur,
Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, and Hill
Areas of West Bengal (Darjeeling & Kalimpong Districts).
- This also applies to Indian Domicile Gorkhas, Garhwalis, and
Ladakhis.
- Chest: At
least 82 cm when expanded and 77 cm when not expanded.
- Weight: Should
be proportional to height and age according to Army health standards.
For Women Applicants
- Relaxation: 152
cm for candidates living in the Eastern Himalayan Region - Sikkim, Manipur,

Application Procedure
- The selection process for the listed Territorial Army units will take
place between 15 November 2025 and 14 December 2025.
Necessary Documents
- Applicants should bring the original certificates and two
verified copies of each.
Date of Birth Proof
- Birth Certificate given by the Registrar of Births and Deaths,
or
- 10th Grade Board Certificate displaying the date of birth.
Education Certificates
- Certificates and mark sheets of all educational qualifications (like
Matric, Intermediate, etc.) must be from a recognized school, college, board,
or university.
- Provisional online certificates should be verified and signed in ink
by the head of the concerned institution.
- Candidates with Matric certificates from Open School need to bring
the School Leaving Certificate signed by the Block Education Officer (BEO) or
District Education Officer (DEO).
- Only certificates from education boards approved by State/UT
authorities (as listed in Appendix-C) will be accepted.
- For candidates who passed 8th class: both the mark sheet and transfer
certificate must be signed by the District Inspector
of Schools or DEO.
Certificate proving your place of
residence
- Given by the Tehsildar or District Magistrate and includes the
candidate’s photo.
Certificate for Caste, Tribe, or
Community.
- Given by Tehsildar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, or District
Magistrate, and should have the candidate’s photo.
Certificate of Religion
- Should be issued by Tehsildar or SDM.
- Needed only if the caste certificate does not mention the religion
(Sikh/Hindu/Muslim/Christian).
Character Certificate
- Given in the past six months by the Village Sarpanch, Municipal
Authority, Police Officer, or Principal of the School/College.
Certificate of Marital Status
(Married or Unmarried)
- Given in the past six months by the Village Sarpanch or
Municipal Corporation.
Certificate of relationship (for
candidates who are sons or daughters of servicemen,
ex-servicemen, or war widows).
- Relationship Certificate provided by the concerned Record Office,
properly signed.
