Eligibility Requirements
- Soldier (General Duty): Must have passed Class 10/Matric with at least 45% total marks and 33% in each subject. For boards with grading systems, a minimum of D grade (33–40%) in each subject and an overall C2 grade or equivalent to 45% total is required.
- Soldier (Clerk): Should have passed 10+2/Intermediate in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% total marks and at least 50% in each subject. A minimum of 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12 is compulsory.
- Soldier Tradesmen (excluding House Keeper & Mess Keeper): Must have passed Class 10. No overall percentage is required, but should have at least 33% in each subject.
- Soldier Tradesmen (House Keeper & Mess Keeper): Must have passed Class 8. No overall percentage is required, but should have at least 33% in each subject.
Physical Standards
For Male Applicants:
- Height: At least 160 cm
- Relaxation: 157 cm for candidates living in Eastern Himalayan areas like Sikkim, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, and hill areas of West Bengal (Darjeeling & Kalimpong).
- Also applies to Indian Gorkhas, Garhwalis, and Ladakhis.
- Chest: Minimum 82 cm (expanded) and 77 cm (unexpanded).
- Weight: Must be proportionate to height and age as per Army health standards.
For Female Applicants:
- Height: At least 157 cm
- Relaxation: 152 cm for candidates from Eastern Himalayan areas such as Sikkim, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, and Indian Gorkhas.
- Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm.
- Weight: Must be proportionate to height and age according to Army medical standards.

Application Process
- The recruitment for the specified Territorial Army units will take place from 15th November 2025 to 14th December 2025.
Documents Needed
- Candidates should bring original certificates along with two verified photocopies of each.
Birth Certificate
- Birth Certificate from the Registrar of Births and Deaths, or
- 10th Class Board Certificate showing the date of birth.
Education Certificates
- Mark sheets and certificates for all educational qualifications (Matric/Intermediate, etc.) from a recognized school, college, board, or university.
- Provisional online certificates must be signed and stamped by the head of the respective institution.
- Candidates with Matric certificates from Open School should also bring the School Leaving Certificate signed by the Block Education Officer (BEO) or District Education Officer (DEO).
- Only certificates from education boards recognized by State/UT authorities (as listed in Appendix-C) will be accepted.
- For candidates who passed 8th Class: both the mark sheet and transfer certificate must be signed by the District Inspector of Schools or DEO.
Domicile Certificate
- Given by the Tehsildar or District Magistrate, with the candidate’s photo.
Caste / Tribe / Community Certificate
- Provided by the Tehsildar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, or District Magistrate,
- Must have the candidate’s photo.
Religion Certificate
- Issued by the Tehsildar or SDM,
- Needed only if the religion (Sikh/Hindu/Muslim/Christian) is not listed in the caste certificate.
Character Certificate
- Issued within the last six months by the Village Sarpanch, Municipal Corporation, Police Officer (SHO), or Head of the School/College.
Married/Unmarried Certificate
- Issued within the last six months by the Village Sarpanch or Municipal Corporation.
- Relationship Certificate (for candidates who are children of servicemen/ex-servicemen/war widows)
- Certificate from the relevant Record Office, properly signed.
