Eligibility Criteria
|
|
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a
graduate in any discipline.
- Experience:
The Internal Ombudsman (IO) should be a retired or currently serving officer holding a
rank equivalent to General Manager in a Reserve Bank–regulated entity
covered under the Internal Ombudsman framework, or in a Financial Sector Regulatory Authority.
The candidate must have at least 7 years of work experience
in areas such as banking,
non-banking finance, regulation, supervision, payment and settlement systems,
credit information, or consumer protection.

If the candidate is a serving officer, they must resign from their current position
before taking charge as Internal Ombudsman.

The candidate must
not have worked earlier or be currently working with Indian Bank / former Allahabad Bank,
or with any of its holding, associate, or subsidiary companies.

Selection Process

The
selection will be done in two stages:
- Screening of applications by the Screening
Committee.
- Interview
of shortlisted candidates by the Selection Committee.
If the number of
applicants is very
high, a preliminary interview may be conducted before the
final interview.

- Candidates must
ensure that they meet all the eligibility conditions and other requirements
mentioned in this notification before applying. The Bank has the right to reject any application at any stage
of the recruitment process if the candidate is found not eligible.
- The terms
and conditions of engagement are fully governed by the contract agreement.
This engagement is not considered regular employment with the Bank,
and benefits such as PF, pension, etc., will not be applicable.
- The engagement is on a contract basis for a fixed period of three years
and should not be treated as permanent employment. After the completion of
the three-year contract period, the engagement will automatically end, and the
Bank will not issue any separate termination notice.
- The Bank is not responsible for any delay or loss of
applications or communications sent by post.
- The Bank reserves the right to change or modify eligibility criteria,
selection method, or any terms and conditions mentioned in
this notification.
- Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be
called for an interview and will be informed through email.
- Candidates must bring original documents related to education,
experience, age, and category at the time of the interview. If they fail to
do so, they will not be allowed to attend the interview, and their
candidature will be cancelled.
- The Bank’s decision regarding eligibility, document verification, selection
process, and all recruitment-related matters will be final and binding. No
personal requests or correspondence will be entertained.
- No
travelling allowance (TA) will be paid to candidates
attending the interview.
- Any dispute related to this recruitment process will be under
the jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai.
- Requests for changes in contact number, address, email ID, or interview centre
will not be accepted.
- In case of any difference in interpretation between language
versions, the English
version will be final.
- Final engagement is subject to the candidate being medically fit as per
Bank norms and in accordance with the Bank’s rules and policies.
- Canvassing
in any form will lead to disqualification.
- The Bank reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
