Qualification Requirements
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Should have a valid Domicile/PRC of the State/UT mentioned in the application (except for Assam & certain specified categories)
- Should have passed Matriculation or Class 10 from a recognized Board/University as on 01-01-2026
- Candidates holding an NCC Certificate are eligible for bonus marks (optional)
Age Criteria (as on 01-01-2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 23 Years (Date of birth should be between 02-01-2003 and 01-01-2008)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (excluding military service period)
- UR/EWS candidates who are children/dependents of 1984 riot victims: 5 years
- OBC candidates who are children/dependents of 1984 riot victims: 8 years
- SC/ST candidates who are children/dependents of 1984 riot victims: 10 years

Guidelines
- Carefully read the exam notification in both Hindi and English; in case of any confusion, the English version will be considered final.
- Submit the online form well before the deadline to avoid technical issues due to high traffic.
- Candidates who haven’t completed One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website (ssc.gov.in) must register again, as previous registrations on ssc.nic.in are not valid.
- After completing the new OTR, candidates can apply online. This OTR will be valid for future exams on the new portal.
- Applications are considered provisional. Documents will be checked during the Detailed Medical Exam (DME) by CAPFs. If eligibility claims don’t match submitted documents, the application will be cancelled.
- Those applying under reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ESM, etc.) must meet all conditions and have valid documents in the required format.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates who move to a different state must decide whether to claim reservation benefits from their home state or apply as unreserved in the new state. This decision is final and cannot be changed later.
- If reservation is claimed from the home state, the candidate must mention both their current and original domicile, and provide a valid caste certificate from the home state.
