Educational
Requirements
- Required
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in the specified Engineering branches
from universities/institutes recognized by Acts of Central/State Legislature
or declared as deemed/autonomous universities under UGC Act 1956, IIT Act
1961, AICTE Act 1987, NITSER Act 2007, or IIIT Act 2024.
- For Final
Year Students: Candidates in their final year of Engineering can also
apply. They must provide proof of passing the degree along with all
semester/year mark sheets by 01 October 2026, and submit their degree
certificate within 12 weeks of training starting at PCTA.
- Note:
Graduates from foreign institutions are not eligible.
- Stream-Specific
Requirement: Only the engineering streams and their officially accepted
equivalents as listed in the official notice will be considered. Any mismatch
in stream name between the degree certificate/marksheet and the online form
may lead to disqualification.
Nationality
- Must be an
Indian citizen, or
- A person of
Indian origin who moved from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or certain East
African nations intending permanent settlement in India (certificate of
eligibility required).

Step 1 -
Online Application: Candidates need to apply online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
Step 2 -
Shortlisting: Applications will be shortlisted based on the total
percentage of marks obtained by candidates up to their final semester/year. A
cut-off will be set for each Engineering stream according to the
vacancy-to-applicant ratio.
Step 3 -
Selection Centre Allotment: After shortlisting, candidates will be
informed about their allotted selection centre via email. They can choose
their SSB interview dates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Step 4 - SSB
Interview: A two-stage selection process held at one of the centres —
Prayagraj (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), or Jalandhar Cantt
(Punjab). The interview lasts up to five days.
Step 5 -
Medical Exam: Candidates recommended after Stage-2 of the SSB will
undergo a medical test. The medical exam results are valid for 270 days.
Step 6 -
Merit List: A merit list will be created for each engineering
stream/subject based on the SSB interview scores.
Step 7 -
Joining Letter: Candidates who rank within the available stream-wise
vacancies and are medically fit will receive joining letters for
pre-commissioning training at PCTA, provided they meet all eligibility
conditions.
Note:
Passing the SSB interview does not guarantee final selection. Final selection
depends on merit, medical fitness, and available vacancies.

Select ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and click on ‘Registration’ (if not
registered already)
- Step 3:
Complete the online registration form carefully after reading all
instructions
- Step 4:
Once registered, click ‘Apply Online’ from the Dashboard
- Step 5:
The page titled ‘Officers Selection - Eligibility’ will appear. Click on
‘Apply’ next to Technical Graduate Course
- Step 6:
Enter your details in different sections – Personal info, Contact details,
Education info, and past SSB details
- Step 7:
Press ‘Save & Continue’ after each section before moving to the next
- Step 8:
After completing all fields, go to the ‘Summary of your information’ page to
review your details
- Step 9:
Confirm all details are correct, then click on ‘Submit’
- Step 10:
Print two copies of the application with Roll Number, 30 minutes after online
application closes

- One printed
copy of the application, signed by the candidate with a self-attested
photo
- Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate or equivalent and marksheet from
the relevant education board
- Marksheet and
certificate for 12th standard or equivalent/Diploma (for Diploma
holders)
- Engineering
Degree or Provisional Degree from a recognized university (Provisional Degree
must not be older than six months at the time of joining)
- Marksheets of
all semesters/years
- Certificate
from the Controller of Examination/Registrar with the formula for converting
CGPA/Grades into marks
- Certificate
showing total percentage of marks up to 6th semester/3rd year (for candidates
in final year)
- Letter from
the Principal/Head of Institution confirming final year status and that the
result will be declared by 01 October 2026

from final year candidates to submit proof of degree by 01 October 2026
